From Trier Ward
“The Art of Escape is a piece I wrote in 2015 that is part of a larger book I will be publishing entitled The Art of Escape. The Art of Escape is a collection of poetry featuring themes of escape from the prisons and chains in our spirits and minds. The cover features an image of Houdini and the interior images all feature escape artists, straight jackets, and daredevils. There are some fantastic visual images. The winning video, which features escape artist Dayle Krall, is very similar to some of the visual images which accompany the poems in my book the Art of Escape (forthcoming in late 2022/early 2023) which will also feature photos of Dayle Krall and other artists performing. It’s really breathtaking and Dayle Krall really does an amazing performance in this video which I won’t spoil for you, but you just have to see for yourself. But what I mean to say is that this video the Art of Escape is just a preview of the book- there is more to come so feast your eyes!”
